RRU Signs Memoranda of Understanding with Uttar Pradesh Tech Universities to Promote Academic and Technological Excellence. Partnerships formalised in the presence of Smt. Anandiben Patel, the Honourable Governor of Uttar Pradesh
Three prestigious technical institutions in Uttar Pradesh have inked Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU), a trailblazing national security and police university under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. Strengthening academic training, research, and innovation in the areas of technology and national security is the goal of these strategic partnerships.
The following universities are partners: Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology in Gorakhpur, Harcourt Butler Technical University in Kanpur, and Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University in Lucknow.
The Honourable Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Smt. Anandiben Patel was present during the signing event on June 26, 2025, which officially formalised the Memoranda of Understanding. Prominent vice chancellors from the various institutions, Prof. (Dr.) J.P. Pandey, Prof. (Dr.) Samsher, and Prof. (Dr.) J.P. Saini attended the ceremony.
Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Kalpesh H. Wandra, Registrar, Dr. Dharmeshkumar D. Prajapati, Lifetime Professor Dr. S. L. Vaya, Dean Academic, Dr. Jasbirkaur Thadhani, and Directors of all RRU schools were among the important academic figures who represented RRU.
Prof.. (Dr.) Kalpesh H. Wandra stated, “These Memorandums of Understanding mark a significant step in our efforts to establish a multidisciplinary academic ecosystem.” “Our university is dedicated to promoting research, innovation, intellectual growth, and skill development through significant partnerships with top Indian institutions.”
The academic agreements seek to advance faculty and student exchange programs, collaborative research projects in critical and emerging technologies, and Joint use of labs, libraries, and other academic facilities; cooperative instruction, training, and curriculum creation
In his presentation of RRU’s academic framework, Dean of Academics Dr. Jasbirkaur Thadhani highlighted the university’s distinctive emphasis on national security education as well as cutting-edge disciplines like forensics, artificial intelligence, internal security, maritime security, psychology, law, and cybersecurity.
The initiative was praised by Hon. Governor Smt. Anandiben Patel, who recalled how the Hon. Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, inspired the conversion of the former Raksha Shakti University into Rashtriya Raksha University under the direction of Prof. (Dr.) Bimal N. Patel, Vice Chancellor of RRU. She emphasised the value of these kinds of scholarly collaborations in preparing young people for technical innovation and national service. Additionally, Smt. Anandiben Patel has discussed the need for both individuals and institutions to provide selfless service to the nation and society.
By encouraging a culture of creativity, teamwork, and cutting-edge research, these Memoranda of Understanding are anticipated to greatly improve the academic environment and eventually aid in the creation of qualified professionals in a variety of fields.
