IND Vs SA: Can Team India Bounce Back In ‘Do Or Die’ ODI After Going Down 0-1 | 2nd ODI Preview

[ad_1]

IND Vs SA: India lost the first ODI against South Africa while being in pursuit of 297 runs. India was well on course to chase the score at 152/2 in 28 overs, but then with the departure of Virat Kohli, the rest of the middle order fell like a pack of cards.

There was no respite shown by the Indian batsmen in the second half of the innings. The Indian batsmen will have to step up and show their mettle in this match.

The match will be played at the same Boland Park in Paarl that hosted the first ODI, thus the wicket is expected to be a turning one.

South Africa’s Temba Bavuma and van der Dussen scored centuries in the first innings to take SA’s score to a competitive 296. India, on the other hand, kept losing wickets at regular intervals.

2nd ODI Preview

The second match of the series will be a do-or-die match for India. KL Rahul would look to make a few changes in the middle order. The bowling was quite par in the first match, thus it doesn’t look like Rahul would make any changes there.

If India wins, then they will be fighting for the series in the third ODI, but if not, it would be back-to-back series defeats for KL Rahul’s men.

Probable Playing XI

RSA XI: Quinton de Kock (wk), Janneman Malan, Aiden Markram, Temba Bavuma (c), Rassie van der Dussen, David Miller, Andile Phehlukwayo, Marco Jansen, Keshav Maharaj, Lungi Ngidi, Tabraiz Shamsi
