Newzdaddy Spiritual Updates

Brace yourselves for a week-long spiritual journey as Nikol, Gujarat, gears up to host the ‘Shivratri Mohotsav,’ a grand celebration of Lord Shiva’s immortal story, organized by Osho Sanyasi – Swami Gnanasagarji. From March 8th to March 14th, the Viranjali Maidan in Nikol will come alive with the enchanting narrative of Lord Shiva, known as “Amarkatha.”

The Inauguration Ceremony

On the auspicious day of March 8, 2024 (Shivaratri), the festivities kick off at 6:00 am with the inauguration of the “Active Meditation Camp” by the Director General of Police (DGP) of Gujarat State, Shri Anil Pratham Saheb. This daily “Gauri Shankar Dhyan Sadhana” (Active Meditation) from 6:00 am to 7:30 am promises a serene start to each day during the 7-day event.

Immersing in Amarkatha

As the sun rises, devotees and enthusiasts gather at Viranjali Maidan to immerse themselves in the unfolding saga of Lord Shiva. The storytelling, led by Swami Gnanasagarji, will take place twice daily, ensuring that people from all walks of life can partake in this spiritual experience without any social discrimination. The grand procession from Nikol’s Khodiyar temple on March 8th, at 1:00 pm, sets the tone for the week, culminating in the Katha Mandap at 3:00 pm.

Day 3: An Insightful Poet’s Conference

On March 10th, a significant addition to the festivities unfolds with the “National Poet’s Conference.” This event, scheduled for 8:00 pm at Katha Mandap, aims to enlighten the audience on the intersection of religion, science, and the current state of the country. Renowned poets from across the nation will gather, offering a unique blend of wisdom and artistic expression.

Day 4: Embracing Humanity through Blood Donation

Simultaneously on March 10th, the Katha Mandap transforms into a hub of goodwill with a Blood Donation Camp. In collaboration with the “Red Cross” and “Youth Hostels – Bapunagar,” this initiative, starting at 8:00 am, exemplifies the spirit of service to humanity. Aiming to help those in need, this endeavour aligns with the core values of the Shivaratri festival.

Day 5-7: A Unifying Shivaratri Festival

The collaborative efforts of Agnisena, Amarnath Sanatan Yuga Center, “National Buddhist Mahasabha,” and various other social and religious organizations set the stage for a holistic 7-day Shivaratri festival. This unique celebration aims not only to narrate the divine tale of Lord Shiva but also to address the contemporary challenges faced by our nation.

A Vision Beyond Rituals

In a country where countless stories from the scriptures of Sanatan Dharma have been told, the organizers see the “Amarkatha” as a pioneering experiment. It goes beyond the traditional narrative, intending to instill a sense of reflection and evaluation among the audience. The visionary goal is to awaken consciousness and encourage the adoption of Sanatan Dharma values in daily life.

The narrative reflects the organizers’ recognition of the challenges faced by the nation, multiplying with its growing population. As an innovative approach, “Amarkatha” seeks to harness the power of listening, absorbing, pondering, and evaluating. The ultimate aspiration is for people to integrate the values of Sanatan Dharma into their daily lives.

Integral to the Shivaratri festival is the daily practice of “Gauri Shankar Dhyan Sadhana” (Active Meditation). This meditation, conducted every morning from 6:00 am to 7:30 am, provides attendees with a unique opportunity to start their day with serenity and mindfulness. The meditation sessions, curated by Swami Gnanasagarji, aim to guide participants towards inner peace and spiritual growth.
