Over 500 AAP workers leave and join the Congress Party for a stronger Gujarat

A program was held at Rajiv Gandhi Bhavan by the Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee. In this program, AICC General Secretary and Gujarat in-charge Shri Mukul Wasnik, Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee President Shri Amit Chavda, and Gujarat Congress Legislature Party Leader Dr. Tushar Chaudhary welcomed a large number of leaders and workers from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) into Congress.

Mukul Wasnik’s words

Shri Mukul Wasnik said that the Congress Party’s ideology is to take everyone along. He added that because of the BJP’s anti-people policies, all sections of society are troubled. Economic inequality is rising – the poor are becoming poorer, and the rich are becoming richer. Under the BJP, inflation and unemployment are increasing daily. He reminded that Congress’s ideology has always fought for India’s freedom and people’s rights.

Amit Chavda’s statement

Shri Amit Chavda said that people all over India are facing problems because of the BJP’s policies. Education, health, and basic services are becoming costly. Youth are not getting jobs. For the welfare of Gujarat, a change of government is necessary. He said that Congress is moving forward with a positive agenda, and many leaders and workers from different political and non-political groups are joining Congress. He promised respect for all who join and said that everyone must unite to save democracy and protect the Constitution from the BJP’s divisive politics.

Dr. Tushar Chaudhary’s view

Dr. Tushar Chaudhary said that the Congress party works with democracy, not dictatorship. He criticised the BJP, saying inflation and unemployment are rising under their rule. He also said that while bridges in Gujarat collapse, the BJP’s Kamalam office never faces damage. Using an example, he said: “Just as sugar makes milk sweet, leaders and workers from different parties joining the Congress party will make it stronger.” He reminded that the Congress party has always fought for India’s freedom and believes in unity.

Leaders who joined from AAP

Many AAP leaders joined Congress in this event, including:

Along with them, more than 500 workers and leaders officially joined Congress.

Why did they leave AAP?

All the leaders who left AAP said that AAP only divides votes against Congress, which helps BJP win. They shared that AAP leaders from Delhi often gave directions that seemed like they were supporting the BJP. After realizing the truth, they said that Congress is the only party that truly takes everyone together and can challenge the BJP’s dictatorship. They promised to work like “sugar in milk,” blending into Congress and spreading its ideology to people.
