Adani Group Telangana Investment Sparks Powerful Growth

Honourable Chief Minister, Shri Revanth Reddy ji, respected ministers, distinguished guests, partners and friends. It is a privilege to join you at the Telangana Rising Global Summit – a platform that reflects the ambition and confidence with which Telangana is shaping its future. The summit has grown into one of the most important events in the state, where leaders from business, government and global organisations come together. Telangana has been working hard to build its global identity, and events like this help the state show its strengths in innovation, technology and industry.

Under the leadership of the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Shri Revanth Reddy ji, Telangana is experiencing a clarity of vision and purpose that is rare in Indian public life. In the last few years, Telangana has seen strong growth in technology, infrastructure and investment. Hyderabad is now known as one of the world’s fastest-growing tech hubs, with major companies expanding operations here. The state government has pushed for ease of doing business, and Telangana is often praised for its fast clearances and investor-friendly policies.

Sir, your focus on transparent governance, rapid decision-making and long-term economic planning has created an environment where industries like ours can think boldly and invest with confidence. Telangana’s single-window system, open data policies and strong administrative support have helped many companies plan and execute projects faster than other parts of India.

What stands out most is your commitment to building a state that is not just growing, but growing with quality – where innovation, sustainability, talent development and global competitiveness go hand in hand. Telangana has also become a leader in clean energy and sustainable development. The state has increased its renewable energy capacity sharply, making it one of the top states in solar power. It is also investing heavily in skilling programmes to prepare young people for the future workforce.

Over the last few years, the Adani Group has forged a strong and growing relationship with the state of Telangana. In line with our earlier commitments, we have initiated investments in sectors such as defence manufacturing, green data centres, renewable energy projects and cement manufacturing facilities across the state. Telangana has been identified by many large groups as a key growth region because of its central location in India, stable governance and availability of skilled talent.

With the goal of Atmanirbhar Bharat, the Adani Group has developed a leading defence and aerospace park in Hyderabad. This state-of-the-art facility is the first UAV manufacturing facility in the country, where long-endurance UAVs are manufactured. Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) are becoming very important for defence and border security, and India has been pushing to build them locally instead of importing them. The facility in Hyderabad is a major step in making India self-reliant in advanced defence technology.

The UAVs manufactured in this facility are supplied to both the Indian Armed Forces and also cater to global markets. This strengthens India’s position as a defence exporter. Today, it provides direct employment to more than 1,500 youth of this state and supports many more livelihoods through its wider ecosystem. Many small local suppliers, technicians and service units depend on this growing defence cluster.

In the area of digital infrastructure, the Adani Group is setting up a 48 MW green data centre in Telangana with an investment of ₹2,500 crore. Green data centres use renewable energy and energy-efficient cooling. They help reduce the carbon footprint of digital services. As AI tools, cloud systems and digital apps grow rapidly, India needs many such centres. Hyderabad is already home to several global data centres, and this new one strengthens the city’s position as a digital powerhouse.

This facility will be at the forefront of cutting-edge AI, cloud technology and high-performance computing, and will play a crucial role in meeting the needs of a rapidly digitising India. Telangana has been encouraging companies to build digital infrastructure so that both businesses and government services can run smoothly and securely.

In the last few years, Telangana has witnessed tremendous growth in capital infrastructure and logistics infrastructure. Better roads, faster transport links and new industrial corridors have helped industries move goods quickly and reduce costs.

The Adani Group has played an important role in building road infrastructure that connects different parts of the state, making logistics more efficient and positioning Telangana as a leader in logistics gateways. With a total investment of ₹4,000 crore in road infrastructure, the Adani Group has built over 100 kilometres of highways, connecting key districts such as Mancherial, Suryapet, Kodad and Khammam. These projects not only enhance connectivity but also open up new employment chances in smaller towns.

To support Telangana’s rapid infrastructure growth, Adani Cement has invested over ₹2,000 crore to establish modern cement manufacturing facilities at Ganeshpahad, Tandur and Devapur, with a combined capacity of 7 MTPA. Telangana’s construction sector has seen huge growth, and locally made cement helps meet this rising demand.

In total, the Adani Group has invested nearly ₹10,000 crore in the last three years, building state infrastructure and manufacturing facilities. These projects have generated employment for more than 7,000 people. The group plans to continue investing in Telangana, which it sees as a high-potential state.
