Located in Butibori, Nagpur district, Maharashtra, VIPL is a domestic coal-fired power station with a capacity of 2×300 MW.
Under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC), VIPL was going through the Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process (CIRP). Additionally, it is reviving the construction of a 1,320 MW supercritical power plant at Korba, which it previously acquired. With 30,670 MW of operating capacity by 2030, APL would solidify its position as the biggest private baseload power production business in India.
