Newz Daddy Business Updates
Adani Total Gas Ltd. (ATGL), one of India’s top energy companies, shared its performance results for the first quarter of the financial year 2026 (April–June 2025). The company has shown good progress in gas distribution, green energy, and electric vehicle charging. Let’s take a closer look at what they achieved this quarter.
During this quarter, Adani Total Gas sold 267 million metric standard cubic meters (MMSCM) of gas. This is 16% more than what they sold in the same period last year.
-
CNG sales went up by 21%, reaching 185 MMSCM.
-
PNG sales also grew by 6%, hitting 82 MMSCM.
The growth came from expanding their network and connecting more homes and businesses to gas.
Adani Total Gas is growing fast. Here’s what they added this quarter:
-
3 new CNG stations, now totalling 650 stations across 34 areas.
-
26,869 new homes were connected to Piped Natural Gas (PNG). Now, 9.90 lakh (990,000) homes are using PNG.
-
157 new commercial and industrial customers were added, reaching 9,456 total connections.
-
They laid down about 14,197 km of steel pipeline for a better gas supply.
Along with their partner IOAGPL, the combined network is even bigger:
-
1,078 CNG stations across India.
-
1.17 million homes connected to PNG.
-
10,640 industrial and commercial customers.
-
25,829 inch-km of total pipeline.
In a major move, Adani Total Gas signed a deal with Jio-bp (a joint venture between Reliance and BP). Under this deal:
-
ATGL fuel outlets will sell Jio-bp’s high-performance petrol and diesel.
-
Jio-bp stations will install ATGL’s CNG units in ATGL-authorised areas.
This partnership will make it easier for drivers to find both CNG and liquid fuels in one place.
Adani TotalEnergies E-mobility Ltd (ATEL), a part of Adani Total Gas, is leading the electric vehicle (EV) revolution.
-
ATEL now has 3,801 EV charging points across 26 states and union territories.
-
Their installed EV charging capacity is now ~39 MW, helping more people switch to EVs.
Also, Adani TotalEnergies Biomass Ltd (ATBL) started its first compressed biogas (CBG) station at Hodal in Haryana. This is a big step in producing cleaner fuel from organic waste.
Here’s a simple breakdown of the financials for Q1 FY26 (Standalone):
-
Revenue from operations: ₹1,491 crore (up 21% from last year)
-
EBITDA (earnings before taxes & depreciation): ₹301 crore
-
Profit After Tax: ₹162 crore (a small 8% drop from last year)
Why did profit fall? Gas costs went up by 31%, as Adani had to buy more expensive gas due to less allocation of cheaper APM gas. Still, the company managed to grow volumes by carefully adjusting prices.
Adani Total Gas plans to grow even more in the coming months. Their focus will be on:
-
Expanding gas networks
-
Boosting LNG, EV charging, and biogas stations
-
Creating cleaner, low-carbon solutions for homes, businesses, and transport.
Adani Total Gas’s ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) score improved to CRISIL ESG 61, moving it from “Adequate” to the “Strong” category. This shows their increasing focus on sustainability and responsible business.
Adani Total Gas is making steady progress in bringing clean, safe, and affordable gas to homes, industries, and vehicles across India. With growing networks, smarter partnerships, and a focus on green energy, they are helping shape a cleaner energy future for India.
