Pioneering Renewable Energy: The Story of Adani

Adani Tota lEnergies Biomass Limited (ATBL), a subsidiary of Adani Total Gas Limited (ATGL), has commenced operations at phase 1 of its Barsana Biogas Plant, located in the Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh. This marks a significant step towards sustainable energy production in India.

Transforming Waste into Energy

The Barsana Biogas Project is situated within the premises of Shre Mataji Gaushala and encompasses three phases. Upon completion, it will have the capacity to process 600 tons per day (TPD) of feedstock, yielding over 42 TPD of Compressed Bio Gas (CBG) and 217 TPD of organic fertilizer. The project represents an investment exceeding Rs 200 crore and aims to become India’s largest agri waste-based bio-CNG plant upon full commissioning.

Technological Innovation

Utilizing advanced anaerobic digestion technology, the Barsana Biogas Plant converts organic materials such as agricultural waste and cattle dung into renewable biogas. This process not only mitigates greenhouse gas emissions but also reduces reliance on fossil fuels, aligning with India’s emission reduction goals and enhancing fuel security.
