The trailer received positive reviews from some viewers, but it also ran into some issues. Some people said that the movie offended religious sensibilities, especially because of the role played by Ajay Devgn as Chitragupta.
According to what Bollywood Hungama has learned, the producers have taken steps to minimize any potential complications before, during, or following the release of Thank God. According to a source who spoke to Bollywood Hungama, the producers of Thank God unveiled a new trailer last week. It makes clear that Ajay Devgn is portraying the role of CG. It was advisable, in their opinion, to refrain from calling him Chitragupta. They consequently chose to use the initials CG. Every dialogue that had the word “Chitragupta” was changed to “CG.”

In the meantime, the Supreme Court sided with the film’s creators. The film’s release had been postponed at the request of the Shri Chitragupta Welfare Trust. However, the Supreme Court declined to list its argument.

Contrarily, Thank God received certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). A U/A certificate has been given to the movie with three changes. First, a rear shot perspective was substituted for a view of people presenting candy to the idol of Lord Hanuman. The brand name of the booze was obscured, and last, the disclaimer was lengthened and adjusted so that audiences would have enough time to read it.

On October 20th, after these alterations, Thank God received the censorship certificate. According to the certificate, the movie lasts 121 minutes, or 2 hours and 1 minute.
Thank God also stars Sidharth Malhotra and Rakul Preet Singh in addition to Ajay Devgn. On October 25, it debuts under the direction of Indra Kumar.
