Apollo Tyres Unveils Logo on Men’s Cricket Team Jersey, Strengthening National Partnership

Today in Ahmedabad, prior to the first test match against the West Indies, Apollo Tyres launched its logo on the Indian men’s cricket team jersey for the first time, following the announcement of a prestigious three-year strategic partnership with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

This goes beyond simply revealing the logo. The men’s and women’s cricket teams of India now have Apollo Tyres as their primary sponsor. The sponsorship agreement will expire in March 2028 and is estimated to be worth ₹579 crore. It follows Dream11’s departure because of modifications to Indian law that forbade real-money gambling companies from supporting athletic events.

Apollo’s logo will now appear on the men’s and women’s teams’ shirts in all forms, including Tests, ODIs, and T20s, as a result of this agreement.

Just two days after the Apollo Tyres logo debuted on the women’s team shirt sleeves during their game against Sri Lanka in Guwahati, this is a major turning point in the collaboration.

Apollo made it clear that he intended to help both teams equally by prioritising the women’s squad. This agreement guarantees the women’s squad the same level of exposure as the men, as they have frequently had trouble obtaining major sponsorships in recent years.

The collaboration demonstrates Apollo Tyres’ commitment to developing talent and supporting the nation’s thriving cricket culture. The logo will be a part of India’s cricketing history, whether millions of people watch from home or in stadiums full of fans.

From a broader standpoint, Apollo has previously dabbled in sports. In addition to investing in grassroots sports and cycling, the corporation has sponsored international football teams like Manchester United. However, this is its largest and most well-known foray into Indian cricket, which continues to be the most popular sport in the nation.

According to the terms of the agreement, Apollo Tyres would pay about ₹4.5 crore for each match. That is marginally more than Dream11’s previous payment of ₹4 crore each match. One of the biggest sponsorship deals in Indian cricket history, Apollo’s support will span more than 20 ICC events and more than 120 bilateral matches during the course of the contract.

It’s also important to note that the BCCI maintained explicit guidelines for the bidding process, prohibiting businesses associated with cryptocurrency, online gaming, gambling, tobacco, and other areas that could cause disputes. This made it possible for a reputable company, Apollo Tyres, to intervene and close the sale.

Following the government’s introduction of the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act in August 2025, which compelled gaming platforms to stop sponsoring cricket, Dream11 had to be replaced. Apollo Tyres had the opportunity to take on the most prominent sponsorship role in Indian sports since the timing was ideal.
