The Scout identifies players who can have their most successful Fantasy Premier League season to date this year.

£8.0m Kai Havertz (CHE)

Since joining Chelsea in the summer of 2020, the Germany international has not yet reached the heights of his abilities.

In his two Fantasy seasons, Havertz has only managed 12 goals and 10 assists, but last season, he still earned a career-high 112 points.

In contrast, before transferring to Stamford Bridge, he scored 29 goals and had nine assists in his final two Bundesliga seasons with Bayer Leverkusen.

However, the underlying numbers demonstrate Havertz’s impact on Chelsea’s offense in 2021/22.

His totals of 49 shots inside the box and 18 major opportunities, while he primarily played as a center-forward, were both more than any teammate.
Due to his importance with the Blues, Havertz has switched from a midfielder to an attacker this season in Fantasy.

When compared to other forwards from the last term, his statistics performed admirably.

Only three other players who are designated as forwards in 2022/23 had more huge chances than he did (18).

Only six other attackers with at least six goals could match his average of 230.8 minutes per goal.

Attractive fixtures

Romelu Lukaku is expected to return to Inter Milan on loan this season, leaving Havertz as Chelsea’s center-forward.

Additionally, he has a great chance to have a significant effect given the Blues’ early schedule.

In their first 12 games, Thomas Tuchel’s club only plays against two of the top six teams from the previous season.

Havertz may rapidly benefit from that run and have a significant influence in 2022/23 Fantasy as Chelsea’s primary goal threat.
