Following India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat campaign, BSNL boldly revealed the introduction of their 4G network, created in association with C-DOT and TCS using indigenous technology. Already, Gujarat boasts notable improvements; 1500 BTS (Base Transceiver Stations) from 2G/3G have been upgraded to 4G. BSNL intends to upgrade 6000 BTS overall over several states during the next six months. Reaching Rural Areas with 4G: A Digital Revolution

Under the 4G Saturation Project, sponsored by the Digital Bharat Nidhi (DBN), BSNL is extending its 4G network into rural and isolated areas. Plans call for the construction of another 132 BTS in the next months, after 260 BTS have already been set up in far-off areas. In order to support national security and empower people living in these far-off locations with consistent digital access, BSNL is also making sure 4G coverage at BSF Border Outposts (BoPs).
