More than 500 students and 200 parents from Ahmedabad and the surrounding areas attended the historic day that Calorx Olive International School organised to combine the Sci-Math Innovation Fair with the Global University Fair 2025.
More than 90 respected Indian and international colleges participated in the event, giving students firsthand knowledge of opportunities for higher education around the world. In addition, the Sci-Math Innovation Fair featured innovative student projects that combined academic rigour with practical application.
The inventive robot created by Aarav Patel was one of the event’s main attractions and was praised by both dignitaries and guests.
Educationist, environmentalist, and STEM mentor Dr. Vrajesh Parikh conveyed his awe by saying:
These young brains exhibit remarkable technical mastery and inventiveness. They can provide solutions that the world sorely needs if they are given the right care.
Additionally, two exceptional student innovators from the school received the STEM Star Award from Dr. Parikh.
Wing Commander A.K. Tiwari, Ministry of Defence Spokesperson and Public Relations Officer, offered perspectives on the significance of implementing innovation in practical situations. He congratulated the kids who competed in the international robotics competition on behalf of India and made the country proud.
Head of School Ankur Upadhyay expressed commitment and worry, saying:
“As an IB school, we believe in bridging the classroom with the real world, empowering students to apply their learning to authentic challenges. I aim to collaborate with institutions like Science City and the Defence sector to create meaningful, hands-on experiences that nurture innovation, resilience, and global citizenship—preparing our youth to shape a better, stronger India.”
When asked to Mr. Ankur Updhyay about other curricular activities that Carolex Olive International School does for the betterment of their students, he said, “We do have sports and other cultural activities, and we are preparing our students to participate in Khel Mahakumbh and other school-level competitions in different sports.”
A lively discussion involving parents, students, and university representatives marked the event’s conclusion, igniting talks that could potentially mentor the future generation towards creativity, leadership, and responsible global citizenship.
We talked to a ninth-grade student who told us how much she loves her school. The teachers and staff don’t just teach subjects; they help students grow in all sorts of ways. Thanks to this great support at school and at home, this student feels confident and has developed strong speaking skills. That’s why she wants to become a criminal lawyer when she grows up.
