About the Exhibition
“Sampada” means wealth, and in Sujata Achrekar’s art, it represents the wealth of knowledge and spirituality. Her paintings showcase individuals with ‘right knowledge’ and ‘right view,’ encouraging us to think about what’s good and what’s not. Through vibrant colours and bold textures, Achrekar takes us on a spiritual journey, illustrating our reliance on divine elements like yantras, mantras, tantras, devas, and devis to achieve our goals. About the Artist
Born in 1968, Sujata Achrekar is a rockstar in Indian art. She studied at the L.S. Raheja School of Art and later earned a Diploma in Art Education at the J.J. School of Art, Mumbai. With over 10 solo shows and participation in 50+ group exhibitions worldwide, Achrekar’s works grace the collections of serious art lovers in India and beyond. She’s a Maharashtra State Award winner, bagging honours like the Bombay Art Society Award and a special mention at the NGMA Women Artist Camp in 2005.
