The Hindavi Swarajya Mahotsav 2024, organized by the Maharashtra State Tourism Department and Pune District Administration, kicked off with a plethora of engaging activities. The inaugural day witnessed a captivating Mahadurg Fort Walk, led by Shri. Vinayak Khot, which traced the historic pathways of Shivneri Fort in Junnar town. Participants were enraptured by the tales of valor and the majestic architecture of the fort.

A Fusion of Adventure and Heritage

As the day unfolded, excitement permeated the air with the unveiling of various attractions. The Adventure Zone, inaugurated by Shri. Dhaneshsheth Sancheti of Junnar Education Society promised adrenaline-fueled experiences for adventure enthusiasts. Meanwhile, the Heritage Walk at Junnar Fort and the Art District at Bhutte Patil showcased the rich cultural heritage of the region, inviting visitors to delve into its storied past.

Unveiling Leisure and Entertainment

The inauguration of the Tent City by Shri. B.N. Patil, Director – Tourism, heralded a perfect retreat for those seeking leisure by the water. Music enthusiasts were treated to mesmerizing performances at the Concert Area, inaugurated by Shri. B.N. Patil himself, while the Para-motoring zone offered breathtaking aerial views of the picturesque landscape. Food aficionados rejoiced with the inauguration of the Food District, tantalizing taste buds with a diverse array of culinary delights.

Empowering Women and Celebrating Agriculture

The Mahila Bachat Gat Stalls (SHG Stalls – Arts & Crafts), inaugurated by Smt. Asha Tai Buchake provided a platform for local women artisans to showcase their talent and entrepreneurial spirit. Additionally, the Grape Festival was inaugurated by Shri. Anil Tatya Meher, celebrated the agricultural abundance of the region, highlighting its significance in Maharashtra’s economy and culture.

As night descended, the day culminated in a serene session of Star Gazing at the Camp Site, offering attendees a moment of tranquility under the vast expanse of the night sky.
