Ahmedabad-based diversified conglomerate, Chiripal Group, inaugurated the second edition of its much-awaited Chiripal Sports Fest 2025 at Club O7, Shela, Ahmedabad. Fast emerging as one of the Group’s most high-spirited annual traditions, the Sports Fest has become a benchmark in corporate culture by blending camaraderie, wellness, and competitive spirit in a celebration of people-first values.
Corporate sports fests are used by many firms to boost employee morale. Research shows that employees who feel valued and have social bonds at work are likely to stay longer and contribute more. Studies also show that sickness absence drops when employees are more active.

This year’s edition, running from September 12 to October 10, brings together 800+ employees competing across seven disciplines: cricket, badminton, table tennis, carrom, running, chess, and volleyball. More than a tournament, the Sports Fest has evolved into a platform where colleagues step beyond workplace hierarchies, uniting as teams, competitors, and ambassadors of the Chiripal spirit.
Having a variety of sports helps employees with different physical abilities and interests. Non-physical games like chess help mental sharpness and the inclusion of those who are less athletic. Running or cricket gives cardiovascular benefits and encourages healthy competition.

Inaugurating the event, Shri Ronak Chiripal, Promoter, Chiripal Group, said, “Sports teach us resilience, teamwork, and the joy of chasing excellence together. At Chiripal Group, these aren’t just values on the field—they are how we grow as a family in business and in life.” Resilience, teamwork, and excellence are commonly cited values in leadership training. Firms often observe that employees who collaborate in non-work settings bring better cooperation back into projects, reducing conflicts and improving delivery.

The Fest has become a stage where senior leaders relive their youthful enthusiasm while younger colleagues bring unmatched energy, creating bonds that transcend departments and age groups. The atmosphere reflects a culture of inclusion and collective celebration, reinforcing Chiripal’s belief that healthier employees mean stronger organisations. Cross-department interaction helps break silos. Younger employees often get chances to interact informally with senior leaders in such events, which improves transparency and trust. Inclusion leads to better employee satisfaction. Also, physical activity improves mental health, reduces stress, and improves focus.

Looking ahead, the Group envisions the Chiripal Sports Fest as not just an internal sporting carnival but as a signature tradition—a testament to its commitment to nurturing people, fostering unity, and setting industry benchmarks in employee engagement and corporate culture. Companies that make wellness and engagement traditions often see these reflected in employer branding. This means they become more attractive to new hires. Over time, consistent events also build internal culture, loyalty, and a sense of belonging.
