Gandhinagar: Craft of Art, an initiative of noted Bharatanatyam exponent and folk dancer Birwa Qureshi, marked the culmination of the World Heritage Week on Friday with the glorious Water Festival at the picturesque Adalaj Ni Vav in Gandhinagar. Mesmerizing performances by tabla maestro Ustad Fazal Qureshi,
percussionist Shivamani, sitar player Ravindra Chary, keyboard player Stephen Devassy, session bass player and composer Sheldon D’silva, versatile dholak player Navin Sharma, and Performance Troupe Meitei Pung Cholom Drummers left the audience spellbound. Ms. Qureshi expressed sincere gratitude to the artists and the audience for making the evening a huge success. The craft of Art organized the Water Festival at Rani Ki Vav in Patan on November 19 to mark the beginning of World Heritage Week.
