EDII Academic Programmes Welcome 74 Innovators

Newz Daddy Educational Update

74 aspiring business owners from all around the country enrolled in the EDII Academic Program’s 2025 Batch.
An acclaimed national resource centre for entrepreneurship education, research, training, startups, innovations, and institution building, the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Ahmedabad, welcomed the 2025 class of 74 students from 13 states and two Union Territories into its flagship programs: Fellow Programme in Management (FPM), Post Graduate Diploma in Management – Entrepreneurship (PGDM-E), and Post Graduate Diploma in Management – Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Ventur

Ms. Mercy Epao, Joint Secretary (SME), Ministry of MSME, Government of India & EDII Governing Board Member, was the chief guest at the induction event. Dr. Etinder Pal Singh, Professor, EDII, Dr. Satya Ranjan Acharya, Professor & Director, Department of Entrepreneurship Education, EDII, and Dr. Sunil Shukla, Director General, EDII, were also present.

“You are entering a phase where innovation, vision, and perseverance will shape your life,” Ms. Epao stated, addressing the new class of students. You are in the ideal position to create a future that advances national development at a time when the government is placing a high priority on entrepreneurship and MSME expansion. Make the most of the opportunities, guidance, and information offered by EDII to become a change agent.

The students were urged by Dr. Sunil Shukla to participate completely in the campus entrepreneurship environment. “I’m glad you decided to pursue entrepreneurship,” he replied. The curriculum at EDII is extremely impactful and relevant since it is modern and focused on the market. EDII has seen a number of success stories, and I do not doubt that you will all soon join this group of accomplished people.

Drs. Satya Ranjan Acharya and Etinder Pal Singh gave the students an overview of the academic program’s structure and emphasised how the PGDM-E and its related programs have expanded dramatically in the last 28 years, as evidenced by rising enrolment and a high success rate.

Ms. Epao also spoke with more than 200 female EDII craftsmen and business owners after the admission event. She praised their dedication to bringing back traditional crafts and using business to establish sustainable livelihoods. “Women entrepreneurs are at the heart of inclusive growth and community development,” she remarked in her remarks on the occasion. Through targeted programs and handholding support, the Ministry of MSME is assisting and growing these businesses. The impact that EDII has produced by supporting women entrepreneurs at the grassroots level makes me pleased. She also opened an exhibition where EDII-trained female entrepreneurs displayed their goods from a variety of industries and crafts.

Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Venture Development Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM-IEV)
The Post Graduate Diploma in Management-Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Venture Development (PGDM-IEV), which has been approved by the AICTE, is intended to give students the abilities and information they need to create creative and prosperous technology-driven enterprises. The program’s main goal is to teach current and prospective business owners how to spot opportunities and launch projects. In order to help students create a successful technology-driven start-up, the curriculum places a strong emphasis on concept generation, innovation, market testing, and real-world application.

Management Fellow Program
Launched in 2014, the Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) is a full-time residential PhD program with an emphasis on entrepreneurship that has been authorised by the AICTE. It seeks to produce qualified academics, instructors, researchers, business advisors, and resource people who can make significant contributions to India’s entrepreneurship environment.

The demand for qualified entrepreneurship experts at higher education institutions, professional associations, government agencies, and businesses is met by this four-year curriculum. By allowing students to examine entrepreneurial dynamics through a variety of perspectives, such as economics, sociology, technology, and management, it combines theory and hands-on learning to provide a greater understanding of entrepreneurial ecosystems and innovation processes.
