Prime Minister Narendra Modi is flagging off India’s first hydrogen-powered train on 17 July 2026. This is a big step for Indian Railways because the train uses hydrogen fuel cells instead of diesel. The train has:

- Can carry about 2,600 passengers in one trip.
3. Fare
As of today, Indian Railways has not officially announced the ticket fare.
Railway officials have indicated that the fare is expected to be similar to that of other passenger trains on this route, but the final price will be announced before or when regular commercial services begin.
