1 . In continuance with a celebration to commemorate 51st Vijay Diwas on the historic victory in the 1971 Indo-Pak war, an Ex-Serviceman Rally was organized by the Indian Army under the aegis of Golden Katar Division on 18 Dec 2022. It was organised with a twofold aim of cementing already existing affable relations with our brethren and spreading awareness amongst the Ex-Servicemen on the new initiatives by the Army with respect to pensions, and their redressals and to assist in mitigating any personal issues being faced by them.
2. The event witnessed a healthy presence of Veterans, Ex-servicemen & Veer Naris. This momentous occasion was graced by Lieutenant General Asit Mistry (Retd) and a host of serving and retired officers and soldiers. Maj Gen Mohit Wadhwa, General Officer Commanding, Golden Katar Division, during an interaction, reassured the gathering that it is the moral obligation of the serving personnel to take care of the needs of Ex-servicemen and address their genuine issues. It was also emphasized that the Indian Army has always remained focused towards their welfare with the assurance that the present disposition will remain committed to their needs and aspiration.
3 . As a token of gratitude for selfless service rendered by specially-abled Ex-Servicemen and supreme sacrifice made by spouses of Veer Naris, the General Officer of Golden Katar Division felicitated them.
