Omguru, a unique personality known for blending spirituality with cinema, has emerged as an award-winning filmmaker on the global stage. His short film “Gamdhani” (2022–2023), for which he served as writer, director, and producer, marked a turning point in his career. Earning him the prestigious Best Director of the Year (Best Short Film Category) award at the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival (DPIFF 2023). The film further gained international recognition by winning Best Half-Length Drama Film at the Five Continents International Film Festival. Continuing this success, his latest short film “Mind Game” (2026) has received widespread global acclaim, winning multiple awards at the Five Continents International Film Festival (2026), including Best Social Short Film, Special Mention for Screenplay, Best Art Direction, Special Mention for Director, and Special Mention for Lead Actor. The film has also been recognised at the AltFF Alternative Film Festival, nominated at the Sweden Film Awards for Best Short Film (February Award), won Best Indian Short Film at the Sittannavasal International Film Festival, and received major honours at the Absurd Film Festival, including Best Action/Thriller.
