Gautam Adani Special Message After Legal Chapter Comes to Close
Adani Reflects on Nearly Two Years of Pressure, Faith in Law and Support from His Teams.
Special Message from Mr Gautam Adani, Chairman, Adani Group
My fellow members of the Adani family, this good news Undoubtedly Brought joy.
But even more than that, it has humbled me.
You all know that right from the start, we categorically denied the allegations brought against us. Therefore, you might be expecting that today. I would say—
“Our stand has been vindicated.”
No. I will not say that. Because Today, More than proving myself right. For me, it is important to look back on that entire journey with humility. A difficult journey but one that taught me so much.
Gave me so much insight, and above all, it allowed me to view life, people, and relationships from a new perspective.
This process lasted for nearly two years. The journey was both difficult and painful, but it has further strengthened my faith in the rule of law…
and the justice system. It is essential to have faith in one’s own truth, but one has to stand up for one’s truth and fight for it, too.
And do so with complete fearlessness. And today, now that this chapter has come to a close, my faith in the judicial system has grown even stronger than before. As a first-generation entrepreneur, I can also never forget that Adani’s own journey is a story of the level playing field and opportunities…
Provided by the rule of law, this journey showed me the strength of my people as well. When there was a lot of noise outside, our teams, employees, workers, suppliers, vendors, contractors and partners were quietly doing their work.
And perhaps that is precisely why the years termed our most difficult turned out to be among the very best in our Group’s history.
The credit for this goes to all of you.
And this journey has also deepened my faith in humanity. Wherever I went…
in the country, I met people whom I didn’t even know. Someone would hold my hand and say— “We are with you.”
Someone says—
“We are praying for you.”
Many people, without saying a word, would simply fold their hands.
They had no selfish motive with me. There was only affection. That affection…
I will never forget as long as I live. I am also grateful to those who criticised us…
And asked tough questions. I always view criticism, too, as an opportunity. Whatever the intent of the criticism might be for me. It is a chance to look within, and it is an opportunity to improve oneself.
And finally, gratitude to God. God has, in life, given me far more than I expected.
He gave me good times And Tough trials too. Today, I do not ask Why This trial came my way.
I am Grateful That It allowed me to learn a little more, to understand a little more, and perhaps to become a little more humble.
Today, as I look back on this entire chapter, I feel humility, gratitude…
And the lessons learned from this journey. But friends, this is not the time to stop.
Nor is it the time to rest on one’s achievements. A chapter has closed, But Our journey is a long one, And Our responsibility is even greater.
Therefore, let us carry forward the lessons learned from this journey, Work even harder and improve every day and together realise the dream of a developed India. At the end, for your trust, for your support, and for your affection, heartfelt thanks to you all.
Jai Hind.
Jai Bharat.
