Gujarat Congress President, Shri Amit Chavda, Aims to Build a Powerful Team For Change
A huge crowd gathered at Ahmedabad Airport to welcome Mr. Amit Chavda, the new President of the Gujarat Congress. He thanked all Congress leaders and workers for showing him so much love.
He said that Congress will now work as a strong opposition to make sure people of Gujarat stay happy, safe, and peaceful.
Mr. Chavda also said that in this “double-engine” BJP government, the voice of the common people is being silenced. Congress will now strongly raise its voice.
He promised that Congress will become stronger from the booth level to the state level through a special program called “Sangathan Srujan Abhiyan.” He added that party workers will have a say in every big decision and their voices will be heard loudly.
Mr. Amit Chavda thanked Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, K.C. Venugopal, and Gujarat in-charge Mukul Wasnik for trusting him and giving him this big responsibility.
After his appointment, when he arrived in Gujarat, there was a grand welcome at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Airport, Ahmedabad. He thanked all party leaders, workers, and supporters for this warm welcome.
He also said that the Congress party will build a new team from the booth to the state level. New people will get a chance. Through strong organisation, the party will meet the people and fight for their problems.
Mr. Chavda added that Gujarat has always been a progressive state. Gujaratis have done great work all over the world. Congress will take this spirit forward and work for the growth of Gujarat and its people.
He also said that Congress will fight for the rights of youth, women facing crimes, farmers, small shopkeepers, and workers who suffer from low and fixed pay. He promised to raise their voice and fight against corruption and bad governance in Gujarat.
Mr. Chavda said that the BJP government is acting like a dictator. People are scared to speak. Even journalists are being threatened for telling the truth. In such times, Congress workers will become the voice of the people and protect democracy.
He also spoke about the public anger against the government. He said bridges are falling, people are dying, young girls are committing suicide, and when animal farmers protest, police beat them. People have lost trust in the BJP.
He ended by saying, “Rahul Gandhi had said in Parliament that the Gujarat Congress will defeat the BJP in Gujarat. We will build a strong Congress team, make sure workers have a role in every decision, and fight together as one Congress family. We will win the fight for the rights of the people.”
