In September, the second season of the Legends League Cricket (LLC) will see the return of former Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh to the cricket field.
Along with former Australian fast Brett Lee, former Indian opener Virender Sehwag, Irfan Pathan, Yusuf Pathan, spin great Muttiah Muralitharan, and former England captain Eoin Morgan, Harbhajan will be playing for India.
110 former international cricket players will play on four teams in the LLC’s second season. The competition is scheduled to start on September 20 and end on October 10.
“I feel energized to be back on the field playing among the game’s all-time greats. September is something I am eagerly anticipating, Harbhajan stated.
Along with Harbhajan, former Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Mortaza has also declared his attendance at the next LLC. Lendl Simmons and Denesh Ramdin, two former West Indies cricketers, have entered the league’s player draught for the 2018 season.
Former cricket players from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Australia, and England were divided into three teams to represent India, Asia, and the rest of the world in the tournament’s first year.
When Harbhajan signed up for Season 2 of the league, Raman Raheja, co-founder, and CEO of Legends League Cricket remarked, “With great joy, we welcome Harbhajan to the team. We are eager to witness the beauty of his spin bowling once more after missing him in January due to COVID.
The confirmations from international superstars of the game Harbhajan, Mortaza, Simmons, and Ramdin “certainly add to the octane intensity for Season 2 of the league.
