Hardik Pandya arrived at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore on Monday to join the Indian camp. The India all-rounder, who hasn’t played since the Twenty20 World Cup in October-November, will spend a few days at the Bangalore academy before rejoining the Gujarat Titans of the Indian Premier League. The camp, which was the brainchild of head coach Rahul Dravid, has been organized for the Indian team’s white-ball players in preparation for this year’s Twenty20 World Cup in Australia. Before the arduous two months of the IPL auction, the Indian team management sought to assess the players’ condition and provide advice.

Pandya’s call-up, as previously reported by Cricbuzz, indicates that he will be included in Dravid’s plans for the October tournament.

“He has indeed traveled to Bangalore. He’ll spend a few days at the NCA before returning to Ahmedabad and quarantine “According to a source from the Gujarat Titans’ camp. Pandya is the Ahmedabad team’s captain. The Gujarat Titans are now in quarantine and will begin practicing on Thursday at Nardera Modi Stadium in Motera (March 17).

Meanwhile, it has been learned that the 10-day camp will end on Tuesday, March 15, with the majority of the players being free to join their various IPL clubs. Pandya, on the other hand, will be present and will train with the Mumbai Indians.

Surya Kumar Yadav, along with a few other players, is receiving treatment in the BCCI’s Bangalore facility.

Meanwhile, the Chennai Super Kings have stated that they have still to receive a confirmation on all-rounder Deepak Chahar’s availability for the IPL season. Chahar, who was bought for Rs 14 crore, has a hamstring issue, and franchise CEO Kasi Viswanathan stated CSK will make a decision on him or a prospective replacement only after receiving a comprehensive report from the NCA. “At this time, we are not considering a successor,” said a Super Kings official.
