India Will Begin T20 WC Campaign Against Pakistan On October 23

International Cricket Council (ICC) released the schedule for the T20 World Cup 2022, which will be held in Australia from October 16 to November 13, 2022.

For the second time in a row, India and Pakistan will meet in the Group stages and start their campaign. On October 23, 2022, both teams will face each other in their opening encounter. India lost to Pakistan when they faced each other last year. Both Asian countries will be playing in their opening match of the competition. India has a chance to revenge their humiliation in the T20 World Cup in 2021.

On October 22, the New Zealand team will play Australia in the first Super 12 match. Prior to that, qualifying matches begin on October 16.

India’s Schedule For T20 WC Matches:

23 October – India vs Pakistan at Melbourne (MCG) @ 1:30 pm India time

27 October – India vs Qualifying Team at Sydney (SCG) 12:30 pm India time

30 October – India vs South Africa at Perth (WACA) @ 4:30 pm India time

November 2 – India v Bangladesh at Adelaide Oval @ 1:30 pm India Time

6 November – India vs Qualifying Team – Melbourne (MCG) @ 1:30 pm India Time

The Indian team has been grouped with Pakistan, South Africa, Bangladesh, and the winners of the remaining two qualification rounds in Group B.

Australia, New Zealand, England, Afghanistan, and the winners of the other two qualification rounds, on the other hand, are put in Group A.

The World Cup will be held in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Geelong, Hobart, and Perth in 2022.

The two semi-final matches will be held on November 9 and 10 at the Sydney and Adelaide Oval stadiums, respectively. The final will be held on November 13 at Melbourne’s iconic MCG.
