In a swift and brave action, the Indian Army came to the rescue of civilians after a huge fire broke out at a paper factory in Dhrangadhra on Saturday, 22nd March 2025. The incident occurred around 4:15 pm, sending shockwaves through the local community as a massive fireball engulfed the factory premises, causing widespread panic.

Thick black smoke and roaring flames rising high into the sky made the situation look extremely dangerous. Residents, including women and children, were terrified and quickly gathered outside their homes, fearing the fire might spread to nearby areas.

Understanding the gravity of the situation, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Dhrangadhra immediately sought assistance from the Indian Army. Without wasting any time, the Indian Army’s firefighting team, stationed at Dhrangadhra Military Station, sprang into action.

The Army personnel, well-trained and equipped with firefighting gear, reached the spot within no time. Around 70 to 80 soldiers were deployed to tackle the massive blaze. Their priority was to save human lives and prevent the fire from spreading further.

In coordination with the civil administration, the Army helped evacuate the people living nearby. Special attention was given to evacuating women, children, and the elderly, ensuring everyone was moved to safer places. Thankfully, as of 7:00 pm, no loss of life was reported.

The soldiers worked tirelessly, battling the raging flames amidst high temperatures and heavy smoke. Their bravery and quick response helped bring the situation under partial control.

Apart from the Army, several firefighting agencies were pressed into service. Fire engines from nearby towns rushed to the spot to assist in the operation. Together, they are working continuously to douse the fire completely and prevent any further damage.

The local administration also ensured that medical teams were on standby in case of injuries or smoke inhalation cases. So far, there have been no serious injuries reported, which is a huge relief for everyone involved.

The Indian Army once again proved that it is always ready to assist civilians in times of need. Be it a natural disaster, accident, or any other emergency, the Army stands firm in its commitment to protect lives and property.

Their timely intervention not only controlled the situation but also brought a sense of relief and safety to the people of Dhrangadhra.

As of the latest update, firefighting efforts are still underway. Army personnel, along with local fire departments, continue to work hard to extinguish the fire completely. The cause of the fire is yet to be officially determined.

Authorities are expected to carry out a detailed investigation once the situation is under full control. For now, the focus remains on ensuring everyone’s safety and preventing further damage.

This incident once again highlights the critical role played by our armed forces and emergency services. Their courage, discipline, and quick action saved many lives today. The local community has expressed immense gratitude towards the Indian Army and all the firefighting teams for their selfless service.

The situation remains tense but under control, with continuous efforts being made to cool down the area and prevent any flare-ups.
