In the main speech, Milind Parande, the leader of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, said that Indian ideas must be at the heart of education. He said that after independence, our schools and colleges followed the British way of thinking. Even our education ministers were not close to Indian values. That is why our education system stayed foreign-focused.
Because of this, even our courts, banks, research centres, and government media followed outside ideas. Even after 75 years of freedom, our policies still show signs of cultural slavery and lack of growth.
He said we must build a self-centred (India-centred) system to become a developed nation. He warned that if good people stay inactive, it will be dangerous for the country. He asked the teachers there to do research and find solutions based on Indian culture and traditions.
In the opening event, the Vice Chancellor of Gujarat University, Dr. Nirja Gupta, said that India should be the centre of our philosophy, not foreign countries. Ashwinbhai Patel from Vishwa Hindu Parishad Gujarat welcomed all the guests. Professor Nachiketa Tiwari from IIT Kanpur, who is also WAHA’s secretary, spoke about WAHA’s goals.
Prafull Ketkar, editor of the organizer group, talked about how foreign companies in pharma, FMCG, and agriculture create false stories to mislead Indians and grow their business here. He urged teachers to keep India as the center of their research and truly become Hindu scholars.
Education expert Bhagwati Prakash Sharma spoke about ancient scientific knowledge found in India and gave proofs that modern science started in India.
Indumatiben Katdhare and Arunaben Saraswat talked about women’s power in Indian life and future challenges.
Saraswat said that during Muslim rule and British rule, Indian mothers kept our culture alive by teaching children at home. She opposed Western ideas like “My body my choice”. She said that for women, motherhood is the biggest joy.
She also pointed out how women scientists wore Indian clothes during the Chandrayaan launch, showing the value of our dress. Katdhare spoke about the important role of women in marriage and family life in India.
Kishorbhai Makwana, who is the Chairman of the National SC Commission and a famous writer, gave a speech on how we can build a strong India through social unity.
He remembered Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s life, writings, and speeches, showing the path to a united India. He also talked about saints like Ramanujacharya, Ramanandji, Narsinh Mehta, Gangasati, Vivekanandji, and Dayanandji, who worked for social unity.
He explained the work of the SC Commission. He supported the idea of “one well, one temple, and one cremation ground for all” given by RSS chief.
In the end, Milind Parande and Prof. Nachiketa Tiwari answered questions from the audience.
