India’s Supply Chain Revolution Begins in Gujarat with GatiShakti Push

The Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) held the Smart Supply Chain Conclave 2025: Unlocking the Future of Logistics in Ahmedabad. The Conclave provided an unmatched platform for networking, collaboration, and the creation of business prospects by bringing together leaders in the industry, innovators, and policymakers to examine the revolutionary trends reshaping the logistics and supply chain landscape.
The GatiShakti Cargo Terminal was inaugurated at Devaliya Station (WCGD), district Halvad, close to Morbi (Gujarat), during the Conclave. Shri Balvantsinh Rajput, the Honourable Minister of Industries, Micro, Small and Medium Industries, Cottage, Khadi, and Rural Industries, Civil Aviation, Labour and Employment, Government of Gujarat, officially opened the Cargo Terminal.
Western Carriers (India) Limited (WCIL) is the developer of the more than 30-acre cargo terminal at Devaliya Station. This completely integrated cargo terminal is expected to drastically cut turnaround times, slash operating costs for enterprises, and increase the efficiency of freight processing.

The talks also focused on ways to improve supply chain and logistics resilience, the role of automation and artificial intelligence, sustainable logistics practices, and digital transformation as means of speeding up India’s logistics future. In order to create more effective, robust, and sustainable operations, it provided a forum for experts to network, learn about the newest trends and technology, and discuss the difficulties facing contemporary supply chains.
