At the Zee Cine Awards on Sunday night, Kartik Aaryan received his first-ever Best Actor award for his role in the previous year’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. The actor thanked the whole cast and crew of the movie as well as the audience for their support.
On Sunday, February 26, the Zee Cine Awards were hosted in Mumbai, and several well-known celebrities were there. Kartik received the Best Actor (Male) in a Leading Role award, and Alia Bhatt was recognized for her performance in Gangubai Kathiawadi as the Best Actor (Female) in a Leading Role. With the men of the moment, Alia captioned a photo of herself posing beside Kartik Aaryan, Anupam Kher, and director Vivek Agnihotri.
Kartik expressed his appreciation for winning Best Actor for the first time ever. He uploaded a photo of himself performing the Bhool Bhulaiyaa hook step while clutching the prize in his right hand. He wrote, “My First BEST ACTOR in a Leading Part” in the caption.
Kartik most recently appeared with Kriti Sanon in the February 17 film Shehzada. The family film is a replica of Allu Arjun’s massively successful Telugu smash Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, and it was directed by Rohit Dhawan (2020). Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Ronit Roy, and Rajpal Yadav had guest appearances in the comedy-drama. The movie, which also serves as Kartik’s co-producing debut, has drawn mixed reviews from critics. The movie had a modest debut weekend, earning only 20.2 crores in three days after an average start of 6 crores on Friday.
