As part of celebrating ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, commemorating 75 years of Indian Independence, the Konark Gunner cycling expedition reached Dedhusar Village, Rajasthan on 01 March 2023. This expedition was flagged off from Vigokot Fort Gujarat on 22 February 2023 covering 1600 kilometers and traveling through 75 Border villages of Gujarat and Rajasthan. The team aims to spread the message of developing adventure spirit and awareness of the ‘Agnipath Scheme’ among youth.
Interactive sessions were organized including the distribution of leaflets during the expedition and outreach activities. In addition, the participants also interacted with Ex-servicemen of the nearby areas and expressed gratitude to ‘Veer Naris’ by felicitating them at Khavda, Amarapar, Santalpur, Suigam, and Bhakasar villages. Locals and villagers expressed their heartfelt gratitude and appreciated the humane and selfless gesture of the Indian Army for this noble drive.
