Kosol Energie Pvt. Ltd., one of India’s leading solar EPC and module manufacturing companies, has successfully commissioned and charged a 38 MW (DC) solar power project for Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited (GSECL) at Chhadavada, Gujarat.

The project marks another milestone in Kosol Energie’s commitment to powering India’s renewable energy transition and accelerating the nation’s path toward energy independence. The Chhadavada solar plant has been built with 550 WP bifacial solar modules and state-of-the-art tracker-based Module Mounting Structures (MMS), ensuring maximum energy yield, higher efficiency, and enhanced reliability. By integrating advanced technology with robust engineering expertise, Kosol Energie has delivered a sustainable energy solution designed to generate clean power for decades.

“At Kosol Energie, we believe in engineering solutions that not only address today’s energy requirements but also shape the future of sustainable power in India through meaningful innovations that improve performance, reliability and overall project economics for the project developers/owners. The successful commissioning of the 38 MW (DC) GSECL Chhadavada plant stands as a testament to our team’s dedication, innovation, and engineering excellence.” — Kalpesh Kalthia, CMD, Kosol Energie Pvt. Ltd.

This project marks a significant step forward in Gujarat’s renewable energy roadmap, reinforcing the state’s leadership in solar power adoption and contributing substantially to India’s target of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030.

Kosol Energie continues to strengthen its footprint across utility-scale solar projects, module manufacturing, and EPC solutions, staying true to its vision of being recognised as the “Energie Engineers” driving India’s clean energy future.

Kosol Energie Pvt. Ltd. has been a prominent player in India’s solar energy sector, offering a comprehensive range of services including solar rooftop installations, ground-mounted solar power plants, floating solar plants, and battery energy storage systems. The company’s commitment to quality and innovation has established it as a trusted name in the industry.

Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited (GSECL) has been instrumental in advancing the state’s renewable energy agenda. The corporation has commissioned several grid-connected solar PV projects, contributing significantly to Gujarat’s renewable energy capacity.

Bifacial solar modules, like the 550-WP panels used in the Chhadavada project, capture sunlight on both sides, enhancing energy yield. These modules are particularly effective in environments with reflective surfaces, maximising energy generation.

Tracker-based MMS systems adjust the orientation of solar panels to follow the sun’s path, increasing energy capture throughout the day. This technology is crucial for optimising the performance of large-scale solar installations.

Gujarat’s Renewable Energy Policy aims to harness the state’s vast solar and wind potential, targeting the development of around 36 GW of solar capacity. The state’s proactive approach and favourable policies have positioned it as a leader in India’s renewable energy landscape
