Synopsis in Bullet Points

This summer, JioHotstar invites you into a gripping world of royal secrets, emotional battles, and haunting legacies with its upcoming web series “Kull – The Legacy of the Raisingghs.” Premiering on May 2, 2025, the series promises to be a rollercoaster ride through the dark corridors of a crumbling royal family in the fictional princely town of Bilkaner.

Created by Ekta R Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor, and produced under the banner of Balaji Digital, Kull is directed by Sahir Raza, known for his skillful storytelling in complex emotional dramas.

The plot unfolds with the sudden and suspicious murder of Chandrapratap Raisinggh, the head of the Raisinggh family, on his 60th birthday. What begins as a celebration quickly turns into a nightmare as secrets start bubbling to the surface. The grand palace, once a symbol of legacy and power, becomes a house of whispers, fear, and accusations. Everyone has something to hide, and nothing is what it seems.

Nimrat Kaur plays Indrani Raisinggh, a woman of few words but many emotions. Speaking about her role, she shared, “Indrani is a calm storm—controlled but intense. Her loyalty, strength, and silence speak louder than any dialogue. Playing with her was an enriching experience.”

Ridhi Dogra, as Kavya Raisinggh, delivers a heart-wrenching performance as a woman torn between ambition and emotional trauma. “Kavya is someone trying to carry a dying legacy while dealing with her childhood wounds,” Ridhi revealed. “This role pushed me to explore vulnerable parts of myself.”

Amol Parashar brings charm and depth to Abhimanyu Raisinggh, the youngest of the clan. “Abhimanyu is a complicated mix of entitlement, pain, and charm. He’s lovable, yet you feel sorry for him,” said Amol. “Some scenes felt personal. That’s how immersive Kull is.”

What sets Kull apart from traditional family sagas is its bold storytelling. It’s not about who gets the property—it’s about what the property has cost them emotionally. The show explores deep themes of loyalty, betrayal, grief, identity, and generational trauma. It doesn’t shy away from the uncomfortable questions: What does legacy truly mean? Is blood thicker than truth? Can a broken family be saved?

JioHotstar continues its streak of presenting bold and impactful stories. With Kull, the platform taps into a genre rarely explored with such finesse in Indian web series—psychological family thrillers set in a royal backdrop. The show’s visually rich treatment, intense drama, and well-etched characters make it a must-watch.

So if you’re a fan of stories that make you feel, think, and stay with you long after the credits roll, Kull should be on your watchlist.
