A SUMMARY OF MAJOR SHREYAMUN N MEHTA (RETIRED)
• on August 1989, Major Shreyamun Nitin Mehta, the eldest son of Major Nitin K. Mehta, enrolled at the Officers Training Academy in Madras and graduated as a second lieutenant in the Judge Advocate General’s Department of the Indian Army.
• A one-year military attachment was with the Ladakh Scouts in Ladakh, which is located at an elevation of almost 15,000 feet on the India-China border.
• He conducted court martials at Chandi Mandir, New Delhi, and Jodhpur while serving as a Lieutenant and then as a Captain and Major. He also advised top Army commanders on matters of law and military discipline.
• Major Shreyamun Mehta, a short-service commissioned officer, served in the Indian Army till October 1996. He then entered the corporate world, working as a top human resources specialist and leading the HR department for more than a decade for companies including Tata Group, Honeywell, Alcatel Lucent, and Maersk.
• Major Shreyamun Mehta, a Raji Trophy-winning services cricket player, presently provides voiceovers and cricket commentary for television and radio.
• Major Shreyamun Mehta’s wife, Radhika Mehta, is a homemaker and spoken English instructor.
• Hunar Mehta, the son of Radhika and Shreyamun, is a manager with a public sector undertaking in New Delhi. He received his postgraduate degree in social sciences from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences in Mumbai.
