Messe Muenchen India has announced that its main trade shows, Electronica India and Productronica India, will be held yearly in Bengaluru and Delhi-NCR beginning in April 2026. This announcement represents a key turning point for the country’s electronics manufacturing industry.
The announcement was made at a high-profile industry event in Greater Noida that was attended by industry bodies such as ELCINA, ICEA, CLIK, ELCIA, FICCI, IPC, EPIC, and Messe Muenchen India leadership, as well as senior executives from prominent electronics manufacturing companies such as Samsung, Syrma SGS, Sahasra Group, Capital Meters, and VVDN, among many others.
The decision is made at a time when the industry is changing and growing, fuelled by the demand for more robust supply chains, shorter product cycles, and the expansion of regional production. Shorter sourcing cycles, improved regional access, and more regular face-to-face interaction are all evident demands that the new model addresses after thorough discussions with manufacturers, suppliers, and procurement managers.
More than 70% of customers questioned favoured the move to annual editions, according to Messe Muenchen India, noting the necessity of coordinating supplier relationships with changing manufacturing schedules. Additionally, suppliers emphasised the need for consistent market presence and proximity to important buyer bases, particularly in an industry where responsiveness, quickness, and trust are crucial.
In order to strengthen India’s electronics supply chain from both ends of the nation and establish a regionally grounded platform that supports India’s larger objective of becoming a global manufacturing hub, this alternating format is positioned as a vital North-South connection.
“Adoption of technology is essential to India’s competitiveness in the global electronics market,” said Atul B. Lall, vice chairman and managing director of Dixon Technologies. Through the establishment of two touchpoints annually, this project facilitates quicker alignment between suppliers and buyers and maintains innovation accessible to all value chain stakeholders.
The top trade association, the Electronic Industries Association of India (ELCINA), also offered its assistance. The need of the hour is this yearly format across two important regions, said Rajoo Goel, Secretary General, ELCINA. It makes developing technology and supply chain solutions more visible, allows for quicker industry contact, and expands their reach. ELCINA is pleased with this decision and eager to support both editions.
“India’s electronics growth story is now a national priority,” said Manish Sharma, Chair of the FICCI Electronics Manufacturing Committee, adding the voice of the country’s business and policy community. By developing platforms that keep up with the rate of innovation, we must quicken this ascension. The dual-edition model of Messe Muenchen India will be a potent catalyst for technological exchange, investor confidence, and regional access.
“India is playing an increasingly important role in the global electronics value chain,” stated Dr. Reinhard Pfeiffer, CEO of Messe München GmbH, adding a global perspective to the project. By giving the sector quicker, localised access to innovation, suppliers, and partnerships, our yearly events in Bengaluru and Delhi-NCR are enhancing our dedication to India. This is a logical move for a market that is rapidly becoming a significant centre for global manufacturing.
Cricket legend Rohit Sharma has been appointed as the official brand ambassador for Electronica India and productronica India for 2025 and 2026 to increase the platforms’ relevance and reach. His organisation seeks to link trade shows with a broader network of young professionals, entrepreneurs, and innovators, influencing the direction of Indian electronics.
We’re developing platforms that reflect this enthusiasm and motivate the upcoming generation as India’s electronics sector grows quickly. We’re moving electronica India and productronica India beyond business—into the centre of India’s growth story—with Rohit Sharma as our brand ambassador,” stated Bhupinder Singh, President IMEA, Messe München and CEO, Messe München. India will remain an essential forum for the global electronics sector, bringing together manufacturers, suppliers, legislators, and innovators. In addition to displays, they promote investment, facilitate information sharing, and fortify the value chain for electronics production. With more than 800 exhibitors, the 2025 edition in Bengaluru is expected to be the biggest yet, highlighting the platform’s growing importance and scope. India’s rise on the international electronics scene is facilitated by these trade shows, which continue to serve as catalysts for industry collaboration with each edition.
