Under the guidance of Padma Shri Mithali Raj, the squad will make its debut in the inaugural season of the women’s premier league.
Mithali’s job will be to promote women’s cricket and aid in Gujarat’s grassroots growth of the activity.

Prior to the debut season of the Women’s Premier League, which will take place in March–April 2023, Adani Sportsline, the sports development arm of the Adani Group, has appointed Mithali Raj, a former captain of the Indian women’s cricket team, as mentor and advisor for the Gujarat Giants.
Women’s cricket has been increasingly prominent on both a national and international level as a result of Mithali’s ground-breaking efforts to Indian cricket over the years, which have not only garnered her several trophies and honours.
Mithali will serve as a mentor and counsellor as well as promote women’s cricket and aid in the growth of the game in Gujarat.
Mithali Raj, a former captain of the Indian Women’s National Cricket Team, said, “The debut season of the Women’s Premier League is a tremendous move for women’s cricket and the engagement of the Adani Group is a major boost for the sport as well.” “Ladies’ cricket is constantly expanding, and this kind of encouragement will surely inspire future women to think about playing cricket professionally. I think that corporate involvement with a high degree of influence will speed India’s eventual rise to greater prominence. This kind of power can improve possibilities for female athletes and boost the sporting community.

One of the best female cricketers of all time, Mithali Raj began her ODI career with a remarkable feat: a century on her first outing. In women’s ODIs, Mithali has scored the most runs, while in T20Is, she has hit 17 half-centuries. The renowned cricketer led India to a second-place finish in the 2017 Women’s ODI Cricket World Cup. She also competed for India in the team that advanced to the semi-finals of the West Indies 2018 ICC Women’s World T20.
Men’s cricket, Kabaddi, and Kho Kho teams are all managed by Adani Sportsline. The annual Adani Ahmedabad Marathon is also held as a show of support for the Indian Armed Forces.
