Mohan Bhagwat Attends Jetalpur Temple 200-Year Celebration
RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat Attends 200-Year Temple Celebration, highlighting unity, Spirituality And Social Harmony.
RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat visited the Swaminarayan Temple at Jetalpur Dham in Kheda district of Gujarat on March 5, 2026. He attended the 200th anniversary celebration (Dwishatabdi Patotsav) of Shri Revati Baldevji Harikrishna Maharaj. During the visit, Bhagwat offered prayers and took part in religious rituals at the temple.
Many devotees and community members attended the event. The celebration marked an important moment for followers of the Swaminarayan tradition, as the temple completed two centuries of spiritual service and devotion.
Speaking at the gathering, Mohan Bhagwat said he felt very happy to be part of the celebration. He said that while the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has completed 100 years of its journey, the temple tradition has completed 200 years, which makes it even more special.
Mohan Bhagwat said meeting people who have worked for such a long time in the service of religion made him feel like a junior meeting a senior. According to him, even though different organisations and institutions have different histories, their purpose remains the same. The purpose is to protect and follow Sanatan Dharma.
Mohan Bhagwat said that Dharma is eternal and has existed since the creation of the world. The rules that guide life and nature are part of Dharma, and people must understand and follow them in their lives.
Dharma Must Be Practised in Daily Life
During his speech, Bhagwat stressed that Dharma should not only be spoken about but should be practised through actions. He said people should live their lives in a way that reflects the values of Dharma.
According to him, Dharma connects people and helps society move forward. When people follow the principles of truth, discipline, and compassion, society becomes stronger and more united.
He also mentioned that the real meaning of following Dharma is to become someone who brings people together. When people live with the spirit of unity and responsibility, the values of Dharma naturally spread in society.
Importance of Good Conduct
Bhagwat also spoke about the importance of good conduct in everyday life. He referred to the Shikshapatri, a sacred text in the Swaminarayan tradition. This text explains how people should behave and live their daily lives with discipline and morality.
He said that simply speaking about values is not enough. The real test of Dharma is how people behave in their day-to-day life. By following good conduct, individuals can protect and strengthen Dharma.
Bhagwat added that Dharma has the power to guide people towards personal growth as well as social progress. When people follow ethical values, it creates a healthy and harmonious society.
Message of Social Harmony
Another key point of Bhagwat’s speech was the importance of social harmony. He said that every human being has a purpose because everyone is created by God. Therefore, people should treat each other with respect and affection.
He said differences such as high and low status should not exist in society. If systems create divisions among people, they harm society and go against the spirit of Dharma.
Bhagwat explained that true Dharma encourages equality, unity, and cooperation among people. By accepting everyone as part of the same human family, society can become more peaceful and balanced.
India’s Role in Guiding the World
Bhagwat also spoke about India’s role in the global community. He said that in the present situation, India has the responsibility to guide the world with its spiritual values.
According to him, Indian traditions focus on spirituality, humanity, and harmony with nature. These values can help the world move toward peace and a better future.
He said that work based on spiritual principles prepares humanity to move forward together while maintaining balance with nature and society.
Defence Exhibition Inaugurated
During the event, Mohan Bhagwat also inaugurated a defence exhibition organised at the venue. The exhibition showcased various aspects related to defence and national strength.
The program at Jetalpur Dham became a significant spiritual and cultural gathering. It not only celebrated the temple’s 200-year journey but also shared a broader message about unity, discipline, and living with the values of Dharma.
