Mohit Suri and the YRF team up for Saiyaara, a fresh and emotional romance

Mohit Suri* states, “I had given up on the idea of making Saiyaara with newcomers as I didn’t come across debutants with acting caliber!”
Yash Raj Films unveiled the teaser for Saiyaara today, sparking an instant online frenzy and making it the most anticipated debutant film in the Hindi cinema business in a very long time.
At one point, Mohit “had given up on the idea of making Saiyaara with newcomers” since he “didn’t come across debutants with acting caliber,” but now he admits he is humbled by the praise the movie is receiving! With their exceptional acting abilities, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda exceeded the director’s expectations, which pleased him.
“I wouldn’t have made Saiyaara if I hadn’t found strong actors like Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda,” adds Mohit. Sincerely, I was considering doing another movie before I met Yash Raj Films, which was searching for a young love tale and preparing Ahaan and Aneet to play the lead in it.

“Debutants must be convincing actors to pull off the emotional layers and depths that make the love story feel believable for people while creating a love story,” he continues. No one expects rookies to be as good performers as Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, but they must be able to compete on film. I had given up on the concept of working with debutants to create this script since I had not encountered any debutants with acting talent or seen any weakness in the young talent.
Mohit adds, “From a business perspective, I had changed it to have faces that sell.” Saiyaara’s writing process took a while, and after meeting YRF and watching Ahaan and Aneet’s auditions, I made the decision to give them some time to convince me of their acting, intelligence, and emotional depth. It astounded me that there are two completely new performers with the ability to act and give in to a vision! To be honest, it’s rare these days, and creating a romance with newbies is rather pleasant! I’m making this story the way it was intended to be, therefore I’m happy I found these two.
The highly anticipated romantic drama Saiyaara marks the first collaboration between Yash Raj Films and Mohit Suri, both of whom are renowned for crafting classic love tales!

Ahaan Panday is introduced by Saiyaara as a YRF hero. The studio has chosen Aneet Padda as the next YRF heroine. Padda won hearts with her outstanding performance in the highly acclaimed series Big Girls Don’t Cry.
Saiyaara is scheduled to open in theatres around the world on July 18, 2025.
