New Generation of CAs led by Parents’ Values in CA Exam Results
The field of Chartered Accountancy, often called CA, is seeing a new wave of bright young minds. Many of these young achievers say their families were their biggest inspiration. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) just announced the results for the May 2025 exams, and the stories of these toppers truly warm the heart.
Right at the top is Rajan Kabra from Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar. Rajan scored a brilliant 86% in his very first attempt. He comes from a family where Chartered Accountancy runs deep. His father is a practising CA, and Rajan says watching him work made him want to follow the same path.
“My father’s career and the hard work he puts in every day inspired me. After I cleared the intermediate level, I moved to Mumbai to do my articleship. It was tough to work and study at the same time, but this success makes it all worth it,” said Rajan. Now, he is thinking if he should stay at his current job or join his father’s firm.
Right behind Rajan is Nishita Bothra from Kolkata. She secured the second rank with 83.83%, proving how determined she was throughout this tough course. The third rank went to Manav Shah from Ghatkopar, Mumbai, who scored 82.17%.
Manav studied at Sheth Virchand Dhanji Secondary English Medium School and later at Narsee Monjee College in Vile Parle. “My elder brother guided me through the entire CA journey. His help was priceless. I started preparing just after my Class 12 exams, and today, this result makes me so happy,” he shared with a smile. Manav is now thinking whether to start his own practice or take up a job.
In the CA Intermediate exam, it was Mumbai’s Disha Gokhru who grabbed the All India Rank 1. She was followed by Devidhan Sandeep. Yasmin Jain from Jaipur and Nilay Dangi from Udaipur came next.
Meanwhile, in the CA Foundation exam, which is the entry point to the world of Chartered Accountancy, Vrinda Agarwal from Ghaziabad stood first. Yajnesh Narkar from Mumbai and Shardul Vichare from Thane took the second and third places.
The CA course is one of the toughest professional courses in India. It has three stages:
- Foundation Exam: This is the first step where students learn the basics.
- Intermediate Exam: This level has two groups. Group 1 covers subjects like accounting and law, while Group 2 dives deeper into cost accounting and auditing.
- Final Exam: This is the last and most advanced level. Students can choose to appear for either of the two groups or both at once.
This year, 14,247 students successfully cleared the CA Final exam across the different groups. It’s a clear sign that despite the tough journey, many young people are stepping up, guided by their families and mentors.
One thing is clear — family support plays a huge role. Whether it was Rajan being inspired by his father or Manav getting guidance from his elder brother, these stories show how important family encouragement is in tough journeys like CA.
As these new CAs step into the professional world, they carry not just books and certificates, but also the dreams of their families. Their success is proof that with dedication, guidance, and a strong support system, even the toughest exams can be conquered.
