On July 22, 2025, the Army Recruitment Office, Ahmedabad, held a motivational speech at NCC Headquarters, Law Garden, Ahmedabad, about “Joining the Indian Army.” The purpose of the event was to inspire cadets to pursue careers in the Indian Army and other Indian Armed Forces. With zeal and patriotism, more than 317 NCC cadets from the Senior and Junior Division took part.
The speaker emphasised how the Army is a way of life, based on the fundamental principles of courage, duty, loyalty, and integrity, rather than merely a job. The discussion centred on a soldier’s development from an energetic young man to a leader of men, a guardian of the country, and a source of inspiration for society. The many routes for NCC cadets to enter the Indian Army were given particular consideration. The speaker urged cadets to seize this chance and be proud of the advantages their NCC training has already given them in terms of discipline, leadership, and physical fitness.
A Q&A session was also held throughout the event, during which cadets asked questions about preparation, Army life, and joining. In her candid and perceptive response, the speaker shared inspirational tales from actual combat experiences along with helpful guidance. During the event, a brief documentary about the Indian Army was also shown. It featured the Army’s daily activities, the brotherhood across regiments, and the range of operational problems it faces, from defending borders to aiding in times of need.
A passionate performance of “JAI HIND” and an NCC-wide commitment to serve the nation with dedication, whether in or out of uniform, marked the event’s conclusion. Cadets were enthused as they left the event, with several declaring their resolve to enlist in the Indian Army and honourably serve their country.
