125th Birthday Celebration of Baba Neeb Karori Maharaj at Shri Sankatmochan Mahaveer Temple, Rancharda, Ahmedabad
Ahmedabad: Shri Sankatmochan Mahaveer Temple in Rancharda, Ahmedabad, proudly celebrated the grand 125th birthday of Baba Neeb Karori Maharaj with deep devotion and enthusiasm. Over 500 devotees gathered in the temple premises to mark this auspicious occasion.
The evening witnessed a powerful collective chanting of the Hanuman Chalisa, repeated 21 times by the assembled devotees, followed by a Maha Aarti and soulful Ram Name Kirtan, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere throughout.
In the morning, the temple hosted 300 school children who together recited the Hanuman Chalisa, spreading the spiritual spirit among the youth. Following this, the temple distributed goodie bags to the children as a token of blessings and encouragement.
A special community service was also carried out as blankets were distributed to the needy, ensuring warmth and care in the early winter season. Throughout the day, two Ram Roti Seva Rath continuously served food in urban area, reflecting the temple’s commitment to seva.
The evening featured the traditional Baba ka Bhandara, where over 500 devotees partook in the prasad meal, sharing the joy of the special day. The event was managed with dedication and selfless seva by devotee Kiritbhai Patel, assisted by regular volunteers Rahul Barot, Nirav Patel, and Rushabh Shah.
Dr. Praveen Garg, the founding member of the temple, highlighted that Shri Sankatmochan Mahaveer Temple is blossoming into a prominent spiritual hub for Ram and Hanuman bhakts who come to seek the blessings of Hanumanji in his unique reclining form, as well as Baba Neeb Karori Maharaj.
This is the fourth temple in India to feature Hanumanji in a reclining posture.
Besides the birthday festivities, the temple continues its weekly spiritual activities, including the regular Sunderkand path every Sunday. The Ram Roti Seva Rath stands as a symbol of ongoing compassion, serving food daily to 200-300 needy individuals.
The temple warmly invites devotees and well-wishers to join in its spiritual journey of devotion and community service.
