New TV Show ‘Doree’ Aims to Change Minds About Girls

Newzdaddy Entertainment updates

The leading Indian TV channel, COLORS, is known for making shows that tackle important issues and challenge old beliefs. They are getting ready to release a new show called ‘Doree’ that deals with a big problem – girls being left by their families. Many parents in India prefer boys, and this show wants to change that thinking.

The show is about a six-year-old girl named Doree. She lives with her foster father, Ganga Prasad, in a place called Bunkar Mohalla in Banaras. Ganga Prasad loves Doree very much and works hard to give her a good life, even though he has a disability.

On the International Day of the Girl Child, COLORS released a preview of the show. In the preview, we see Doree helping her father fold a saree. She asks him why her real parents left her in the river, and he says they were unlucky. He feels lucky to have Doree, but there is a powerful woman named Kailashi Devi who doesn’t think girls are important. She believes in old ideas where men are better than women. This is going to make an interesting story.

Some well-known actors are in the show. Sudha Chandran plays Kailashi Devi, Amar Upadhyay is Ganga Prasad, and young Mahi Bhanushali is Doree.

Sudha Chandran, who plays Kailashi Devi, said she’s excited to be part of this show that talks about important issues. She hopes people will love the show, just like her other work.

Amar Upadhyay, who plays Ganga Prasad, is also excited. He said this role is different from what he’s done before, and he hopes the show will make people think about gender equality and love between a father and daughter.

‘COLORS’ released a sneak peek of their upcoming show ‘Doree’ on the International Day of the Girl Child. The show focuses on the story of Doree, a six-year-old girl, and her foster father Ganga Prasad, who are working together to overcome the challenges posed by gender inequality and societal norms. The show features Sudha Chandran as Kailashi Devi, Amar Upadhyay as Ganga Prasad, and child actor Mahi Bhanushali as Doree. The show aims to raise awareness about the discrimination faced by girls in society and encourage viewers to rethink traditional beliefs about gender roles.
