PM Modi to launch special ₹75 coin

The Parliament Complex will be shown on the new currency, which will be released on May 28.
According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Finance on Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will unveil a coin with a denomination of 75 rupees to commemorate the opening of the new Parliament building. On Sunday, May 28, Mr. Modi will dedicate the new Parliament building to the people.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the coin’s obverse will have the Ashoka Pillar’s Lion Capital in the center and the legend “satyamev jayate” underneath. The words “Bharat” in Devnagri script will be on the left margin of the Ashoka Pillar and “India” in English will be on the right.

The Parliament Complex will be depicted on the coin’s reverse side. Additionally, the Ministry stated that 2023 should be written beneath the picture of the Parliament Complex.

The coin will be round in shape, have a diameter of 44 mm, and weigh close to 35 grams.

The coin with 200 serrations will be 50 percent silver, 40 percent copper, 5 percent nickel, and 5 percent zinc.

Notably, the nation will mark its 75th anniversary of independence in 2023.
