Pointless DC and MI one of them will definitely get 2 points today.

IPL 2023 : MI Vs DC

IPL 2023 DC Vs MI match preview

Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals’ owners were content exactly one month prior. Both teams, competing in the first Women’s Premier League, were unbeatable; they had not yet lost a game. One team shows off its entire depth, while the other pushes through without even using it’s starting XI.

But in the IPL, that’s not the case.

Parth Jindal, a co-owner of Delhi Capitals, is criticising his players’ lack of effort less than a week into the league. They are yet to start after three games. More importantly, they are unable to identify and address the full scope of the issues. Panic is present, and those worries are acknowledged. The head coach, Ricky Ponting, is unsure if he will even start his strongest lineup.

Before the team’s fourth game of the season, DC’s batting coach Pravin Amre put on a braver face and stated they were searching for motivation from a team that had long-losing streaks before going on to win the tournament. He said, rather filmily, “It’s not how you start, but how you finish that matters.” on Monday.

He was referring to Mumbai Indians, a team that isn’t faring much better. They don’t appear to be the most creative group, and there are now no points on the board. Given their history of sluggish beginnings, the five-time champs are unlikely to be as turned off by it as DC is, but there are legitimate worries immediately.

Mumbai Indians are without the services of arguably their finest player, much like DC (Rishabh Pant). (Jasprit Bumrah). And the rest have simply not blended in well enough to deliver the force and sting. The good thing about Tuesday’s matchup between two somewhat problematic teams in Delhi is that at least one of them will record a victory and get some much-needed momentum.

When: 7:30 IST on Tuesday, April 11, 2023

Venue: Arun Jaitley Stadium, New Delhi, between the Delhi Capitals and the Mumbai Indians

Expectations:

The venue has only hosted one game so far this season, in which the hosts were defeated with the bat. The Gujarat Titans appeared to be confident in their ability to comfortably chase down totals in the area of 180-190, thus they did attempt to control the ball, but with little success.

Team To watch: Delhi Capitals

Khaleel Ahmed’s status is questionable after being diagnosed with an injury in the middle of the previous game. To make a final determination regarding the pacer’s availability, the team management is awaiting scan data.

Given his strong performance against Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav, Axar Patel could be employed early in the match. Both batters were held in check by the left-arm spinner, who only allowed them to strike out 83 times and 86 times, respectively, for runs.

Probable playing XI

Aman Khan/Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Kuldeep Yadav, Mukesh Kumar, Anrich Nortje, Lungi Ngidi, David Warner, Prithvi Shaw, Philip Salt/Rilee Rossouw, Abhishek Porel, Axar Patel

If Delhi Capitals bowl first, Chetan Sakariya might be included in the starting lineup. Or enter the game later as an Impact Substitute.

Team to watch: Mumbai Indians

Jofra Archer missed the game because of a sore shoulder, but Cameron Green said that everyone else will be there for the game.

Probable playing XI

Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Cameron Green, Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, Tim David, Arshad Khan, Hrithik Shokeen, Piyush Chawla, Jofra Archer, and Kumar Kartikeya make up the probable starting lineup.

If Mumbai Indians bowl first, Jason Behrendorff might start in the starting lineup or enter as an Impact Substitute in the second innings if they set a goal.
