Pride Hotels Limited Opens Pride Elite At Gandhinagar
Pride Hotels Opens Pride Elite Gandhinagar. Ignites Dreams in Booming Twin Cities Hub
Pride Hotels Limited expands its reach in Gujarat with the grand opening of Pride Elite Gandhinagar. This new hotel comes in partnership with Ekarth Group, a real estate firm known for building modern homes and offices in Gandhinagar and the nearby GIFT City areas. The chain, one of India’s fastest-growing home-grown hospitality groups, now runs 19 hotels across the state, up from earlier counts of around 10 properties as it taps into busy business spots.
Little Bit About Pride Hotels Limited
Pride Hotels Group started its journey in 1987 with the opening of its first owned hotel in Pune, Maharashtra. A young Chartered Accountant named S. P. Jain from Madhya Pradesh kicked things off after moving to Mumbai in 1975. He began with a management firm and construction before spotting chances in hotels.
The company was formed as Pride Hotels Private Limited in February 1983 in New Delhi. It turned public later and grew fast. By 1988, it shifted from one spot to a known name across 15 states in India.
Success in Pune led to quick adds like Nagpur, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, and Delhi. These five-star spots under “The Pride Hotel” brand set the pace. Joint ventures and management deals soon brought in Goa, Jaipur, Puri, Indore, and Mussoorie.
In 2008, the group switched to an asset-light model. This meant managing hotels for owners, not just owning them. The first such deal came with Pride Amber Vilas Resort & Convention Centre, speeding up growth without big buys.
Awards rolled in over time. In 2006, Mr. Satyen Jain, CEO, got the Young Entrepreneur of the Year from the Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India. In 2013, Pride won Fast Emerging 5-Star Luxury Chain at World Travel Brand Awards. Recent wins include Golden Star Awards for dining and resorts.
Today, Pride runs brands like Pride Plaza for luxury, Pride Hotels for upscale stays, Pride Resorts, and Biznotel for business. From 19 hotels in 2019, it hit 34 with over 2,700 rooms by 2025. Gujarat now has 10 spots, showing a steady push into key areas.

The launch of Pride Elite Gandhinagar marks the second managed property for Pride Hotels in the Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar area. It follows the success of Biznotel by Pride in Motera, a 50-room spot right near the famous Narendra Modi Stadium, perfect for cricket fans and business trips. The twin cities see a big boom in hotels, with over 1,000 new branded rooms coming soon from names like Marriott and Hyatt, driven by events and growth near GIFT City.
Pride Elite Gandhinagar sits in a smart spot for business travellers, government workers, meetings, and fun trips. The city grows fast thanks to big projects in roads, buildings, and tourism draws. Close to the Mahatma Mandir Convention Centre, which holds over 15,000 people for shows and fairs, the hotel meets rising needs in this key spot.
Mr Atul Upadhyay, Executive Director of Pride Hotels Limited, calls this a big step in their plans. With over 30 years in the field, he leads growth into places like this where government work, new roads, and visitor spots create demand. The group eyes high-potential areas to give steady service and smart designs for guests.
The hotel has 72 comfy rooms that mix work needs, ease, and simple style. Earlier plans noted 70 rooms, but the final count fits the space well for rest. It joins Pride’s mix of brands like Pride Plaza for luxury and Biznotel for quick stays, across 60-plus spots in India.
Food stands out with Casablanca, a train-themed spot for pure veg fine dining. It blends world tastes and local Gujarati dishes in a calm vibe. Café Pride adds all-day eats on the roof, with buffets or single plates of global and regional foods.
Banquet areas suit parties, work meets, and weddings. A private room works for small groups, while the open roof hosts big night events. The rooftop Jacuzzi with tables makes special dinners or fun nights like haldi ceremonies stand out as happy memories.
Mr Koustuva Mukherjee, Associate Vice President for Gujarat and other spots, sees Gujarat as a top pick. Gandhinagar blends office hubs, culture, and proximity to Ahmedabad for business and play. The hotel’s food and event spots match what travellers want now.
Pride Hotels sticks to its goal of top service in India’s main spots. The group spreads from west to east, with plans for more rooms nationwide. Pride Elite Gandhinagar adds a fresh stay, eat, and party choice to help the area’s hotel scene grow.
Gujarat’s hotel world heats up with better links, temple tours, and factory zones. Big chains push into smaller towns too, as home travel rises. This fits Pride’s steady push in strong markets like the Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar belt.
