Today, the city of Ayodhya is witnessing another uplifting point of India’s cultural consciousness. Today, the whole world is watching. There is unparalleled satisfaction in the heart of every Rambhakt, infinite gratitude, and immense joy. The suffering of centuries is ending, and the determination of centuries is being achieved today.
Ayodhya is considered the birthplace of Lord Ram. The new events around the temple have become a global cultural moment for Hindus. Many see it as the fulfilment of a long emotional struggle.
Today, it is the completion of the yajna whose fire was burning for 500 years, but never broke faith. Today, the energy of the sanctum sanctorum and the divine Pratap of the Ram family has been raised through this Dharma flag. Hoisting a Dharma flag is a symbolic act in Hindu tradition. It represents victory, purity and spiritual progress.
Friends,
This Dharma flag is not just a flag; it is the flag of Indian civilisation. Its saffron colour and sacred symbols show courage, purity and truth. The saffron colour is widely used in Hindu rituals. It marks sacrifice, power and the path of righteousness. This flag shares lessons for centuries. It teaches truth, keeping promises, duty, peace in society, and care for the poor. These values are also teachings from the Ramayana, one of India’s oldest epics that guides moral life.
Friends,
Our scriptures say that even those who cannot visit a temple but bow to the temple’s flag gain spiritual merit. This belief shows India’s inclusive spiritual culture, where intention and respect matter as much as physical presence.
Friends,
This Dharma flag is also a symbol of the goal of this temple. It will be seen from far away and will guide generations. The new Ayodhya temple complex is designed to be visible from a distance, showing its modern architecture and cultural strength.
Friends,
The Prime Minister thanked donors, labourers, craftsmen and architects.
The Ram temple construction involved artisans from many states. Traditional stone carving skills were revived, giving jobs and honour to skilled workers. Ayodhya is the land where the values of Ram were shaped by sages, friends and devotees. The stories of Shabari, Nishadraj and Hanuman highlight equality, friendship and devotion, central messages of the Ramayana.
A set of seven temples has been built, honouring Mata Shabari, Nishadraj, Mata Ahalya, Maharishi Valmiki, Maharishi Vashishtha, Maharishi Vishwamitra, Maharishi Agastya and Saint Tulsidas.
These temples show India’s inclusive cultural memory. It honours both sages and ordinary people who played roles in Ram’s story. The Prime Minister spoke about building a developed India where every group, including women, Dalits, backwards, tribals, farmers, workers and youth, is included. This connects cultural unity with national development, a common theme in national speeches. He spoke about learning from Ram’s ideals, such as truth, bravery, knowledge, forgiveness, gratitude, discipline and humility.
These qualities are often taught in Indian moral education programmes.
He spoke about removing the mindset of slavery from India by 2035. This refers to reforming laws, habits and attitudes left from British rule. It aims to build confidence and pride in Indian heritage. He said the redesign of the Indian Navy flag was a step towards cultural pride. The Navy flag was changed in 2022 to include a symbol inspired by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
Friends,
Ayodhya is becoming a global model of development with new railways, roads and tourism growth. Ayodhya airport, railway station and tourism projects are part of India’s larger infrastructure expansion. After the Pran Pratishtha, about 45 crore devotees visited the site. This large number shows the temple’s huge social and economic impact on the region. The PM quoted teachings from Ramayana that highlight courage, patience, truth, duty, strength and kindness. These teachings guide the moral grounding of many Indian leadership ideas today.
