The comment made by Ranbir Kapoor referring to Alia Bhatt as his “dal chawal” has gone viral. During a Shamshera promotional event, he declared that 2022 would be a turning point in his life. He claimed that getting married this year had been the most lovely thing he had ever experienced. He also made reference to a line from Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani in which he compared marriage to the monotony of eating dal-chawal every day at home.
He claimed that his life’s experiences had taught him that dal chawal’s comfort is ultimately what people yearn for. “Jo Alia hai meri life mai, wo dal chawal mai tadka hai and achaar hai,” he is reported to have said.
This isn’t the first time Ranbir Kapoor has compared someone to dal chawal, either. He compared working with Deepika Padukone to eating dal chawal when promoting Tamasha. He claimed that working with her was as comfortable as eating dal and chawal at home. Check out the video down below.
