Kabaddi legend Randhir Singh Sehrawat Begins New Gujarat Giants Journey
Randhir Singh Sehrawat, the “Chanakya of Kabaddi,” has been appointed head coach of the Gujarat Giants by Adani Sportsline. Before the forthcoming Pro Kabaddi League season, veteran kabaddi strategist Randhir Singh Sehrawat takes over as head coach of the Gujarat Giants. Sehrawat has played in the PKL for 11 seasons, winning one championship and making six postseason appearances.
Sehrawat, a recipient of the Arjuna Award, led Indian Railways to several national championships and competed for India at the 1990 Asian Games, winning a gold medal.
Ahmedabad, March 11, 2026: In anticipation of the forthcoming Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) season, Adani Sportsline has named seasoned kabaddi coach Randhir Singh Sehrawat as the Gujarat Giants‘ head coach.
Sehrawat, who has been with the PKL from its inception in 2014, is regarded as the “Chanakya of Kabaddi” and is among the league’s most seasoned coaches. His teams made it to the playoffs six times and won the PKL championship in Season 6 during his tenure.
Sehrawat, a laureate of the Arjuna Award, adds decades of experience to the position. Additionally, he has coached the Indian Railways Kabaddi Team, winning numerous national championships with both the men’s and women’s teams.
As a player, Sehrawat competed for India in a number of international competitions, such as the Asian Kabaddi Championship (1988), the South Asian Games (1989), and the Asian Games (1990), when he was vice-captain of the Indian team that won the gold medal.
