Inaugurating the RRU Academic Year 2025–2026, the Hon. Governor of Tamil Nadu, Shri R.N. Ravi, commends the university for its contribution. The new academic year (2025–2026) of Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) was opened by Thiru. R.N. Ravi, the Hon. Governor of Tamil Nadu, praised the Hon. Prime Minister’s visionary leadership and thought process for creating the cutting-edge institution. The university was first established as Raksha Shakti University, a state university, against the backdrop of security and safety threats to individuals, organisations, and places of worship brought on by a string of terror attacks carried out nationwide by various terrorist organisations and internal separatist forces.
Governor Shri Ravi pointed out that since 2014, there has been a significant change in law enforcement and governance, using the same state tools and resources and guaranteeing zero tolerance for any kind of terrorism or internally polarising insurgencies. He underlined that understanding Shatrubodh, the identity of your enemy, is crucial, as is being aware of Rashtrabodh, a feeling of national consciousness, and having practical remedies. The goal is not only to educate and train, but also to comprehend the main problems, worries, and difficulties facing the nation at the grassroots level.
Through in-depth research and the use of technology, the government, security forces, and police forces will be able to identify these problems and receive practical solutions. The importance of Operation Sindoor, which focuses on knowing exactly when and how to launch and halt a tactical reaction to an attack while carefully restricting your participation solely to accomplish the goal, was emphasised by him.
The Governor urged the youth, via the RRU platform, to value all languages and to embrace cultural and linguistic diversity as One Kutumb, a tree with many branches, each leaf unique but all belonging to the same tree.
He also underlined that RRU’s responsibility extends beyond training police officers and members of the armed forces and teaching students. Rather, it must serve as a Guru Dronacharya, identifying problems and difficulties of the forces in our society and in various fields, and offering the government workable answers, such as preventative measures and remedies, before such incidents or chaos occur, while it is still in the planning stages.
The Governor praised Prof. Bimal Patel for the institution’s outstanding performance and accomplishments, as well as the visionary approach of the Hon. Prime Minister and the Hon. Union Home Minister in conceiving and founding Rashtriya Raksha University. He wished the incoming academic class a prosperous future and a motto of “moving forward and keeping on providing solutions which no one has ever reflected upon.” In his speech, the governor underlined how vital RRU is to protecting the interests of the country and creating a safe environment via training, research, teaching, and extension.
In his speech, RRU Vice-Chancellor Patel gave an overview of the university’s major accomplishments and informed the audience about the wide range of courses offered, the strict training methods used, the state-of-the-art research projects carried out, and the creative teaching strategies the RRU has adopted. To enable RRU to become a Rashtriya and Global Suraksha Gyaan Setu, he took the opportunity to express his sincere gratitude to the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Home Minister, Defence Minister, External Affairs Minister, Finance Minister, leadership of the armed forces, central armed police forces, central police organisations, and state police organisations.
