Xiaomi India has marked another step in its fast-growing smartphone line-up with the launch of the REDMI 15C 5G. The company introduced the phone in Ahmedabad, presenting it as a device designed for everyday users who want a sleek look, a big screen and smooth performance that lasts through long hours of work and entertainment. Xiaomi continues to be one of India’s top smartphone brands, and its focus on offering value-packed 5G phones remains one of the main reasons for its strong market position.
Speaking about the launch, Anuj Sharma, Chief Marketing Officer of Xiaomi India, said the REDMI 15C 5G was made to feel simple and comfortable in the hands of users. He said the large immersive display, all-day battery life and refined royal design match the way people now watch videos, attend online classes, scroll through social media and manage daily tasks. Over the years, Xiaomi has built a strong presence in India, and the brand often aims to offer powerful features at prices that many users can afford. Anuj Sharma’s remark reflects this idea of offering value without making the device feel heavy or complex.
The design of the REDMI 15C 5G includes a slim and polished body. The phone uses a 3D quad-curved back, which helps with a stable and balanced grip, especially when the phone is held for long periods. The floating crater camera design adds a unique touch, making the model stand out from other phones in its price range. The phone comes in Moonlight Blue, Dusk Purple and Midnight Black. The Moonlight Blue colour has been made using a dual-colour magnetic ink process, which is often used in premium devices to give a richer and deeper look.
The device has a 17.53 cm HD+ display. Xiaomi has included up to 120Hz AdaptiveSync, which adjusts the refresh rate depending on the type of content being viewed. High refresh rate screens are now very common in gaming phones, but Xiaomi has slowly brought this feature to even budget-friendly phones. This helps users enjoy smoother scrolling and more comfortable reading. The 50MP AI dual camera setup allows clear photos in bright, indoor and low-light situations. Xiaomi has built a strong name in India for offering dependable cameras, especially in the REDMI line-up, which is often used by students, families and travellers.
Powering the device is a 6000mAh battery, one of the largest in its segment. Many budget phones come with 5000mAh batteries, but Xiaomi has added a bigger one to support long use. The company says the phone can run up to 23 hours of video playback and 106.9 hours of music. With 33W turbo charging, the phone reaches half charge in just 28 minutes. Many budget phones still offer only 10W or 18W charging, so this feature puts the REDMI 15C 5G ahead of some of its competitors. It also supports 10W reverse charging, which works like a small power bank for other devices.
The REDMI 15C 5G runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset. MediaTek’s Dimensity series is known for offering efficient 5G connectivity at lower power use. The phone also supports up to 16GB RAM with memory extension and offers 1TB expandable storage through a microSD card. It uses Xiaomi HyperOS 2, the company’s newest operating system built to work smoothly across phones, tablets and smart home devices. Features like Circle to Search with Google and built-in Google Gemini show how Xiaomi is bringing AI tools to more users. Xiaomi’s interconnectivity tools, such as Call Sync and Shared Clipboard, improve daily use for students and working professionals.
The phone is built for durability with IP64 dust and water resistance. This level of protection helps guard the device from splashes and dust-heavy environments. The device also includes a 200% volume boost that helps users hear audio clearly even in crowded places such as markets, buses or outdoor settings.
The REDMI 15C 5G comes in three storage variants: 4GB+128GB priced at ₹12,499, 6GB+128GB priced at ₹13,999 and 8GB+128GB priced at ₹15,499. With its smooth performance, large battery, strong display and 5G support, Xiaomi is clearly aiming to attract young users, students, first-time 5G buyers and people looking for a phone that performs well without crossing a tight budget.
